In an alternate reality, Grev Mallor was a Talokian of the 30th century who was a candidate for membership in the Legion of Super-Heroes.

In the Legion's reality, his homeworld of Talok VIII was a member of the United Planets, an interplanetary organization centered on Earth. Mallor, possessed of light-negating shadow projection capability of his race, aspired to join the Legion. His sister, Shadow Lass of the Legion of Super-Heroes, was thinking about suggesting to Legion Academy that Grev could room with a good influence—Pol Krinn, brother of fellow Legionnaire Cosmic Boy.
