The Groxxin are a humanoid species from the Gamma Quadrant. Groxxin possess yellow fur, eight fingers on each hand and a snout.
In 2372, two Groxxin, Zheronn and Orvor, gained access to records detailing a retrovirus that the Dominion had designed years earlier that would pacify the Jem'Hadar and remove their addiction to ketracel-white. Zheronn was able to escape Daborat V and brought information on their discovery to Starfleet, who assigned Kira Nerys, Worf and Odo to enter Dominion space to rescue Orvor and retrieve the information on the retrovirus. Orvor was successfully rescued, although the Dominion recovered the retrovirus information. Orvor was expected to provide Starfleet with information on what he remembered.
