The Gurud Islands were a notable geographical landmark on the planet Ithen, aka Orodanga.

These islands were located 700 kilometers from the city of Dap in an archipelago in the Ayusan Sea. It had few forested areas.
In historic times, a nautical nation-state's capital city was cited there. However, by the 23rd century it had become a tourist location known primarily for its ruins, resorts, and some private estates. Tourists could rent dafu skiffs to travel around the islands.
