The HMS Thunder Child was a fictional British Royal Navy steam-powered warship that featured in the novel The War of the Worlds, by author H.G. Wells.

In the novel, the HMS Thunder Child drew Martian fire away from civilian ships to allow them to escape. (The Official Starships Collection Issue 12: "USS Thunderchild NCC-63549"; TNG - S31 novel: Rogue)

Legacy[]
