Halat was a star system, located somewhere in the space of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants, in the Orion Neutrality Area.

The Halat system's orbit was the location of a number of worlds, including fourth planet Halat IV, or Nolth. Nolth was the only class M planet and was home to an Orion Colony. (FASA RPG - The Orions module: Book of Common Knowledge)
