Halawa was a 23rd century city located on the Hawaiian Island of Molokai in the Pacific Ocean on the planet Earth.

Halawa was a coastal city on the northeastern side of Molokai, situated along Halawa Bay not far from the small islands of Moku-Ho'Oniki and Kanaha Rock. It was also the community nearest Pailolo Channel. Michael Holokaue served as a local government official and representative.
In 2286, humpback whales George, Gracie, and their newborn calf Jessie settled for a few days in the channel near Halawa, hunting schools of fish. Project Nursery's FOMP Onizuka moored about 15 kilometers from the whales to observe them.
Holokaue and US Marshal Andrea Foreman traveled by canoe from Halawa to Onizuka. Fearing that the whales would harm local fishing, they demanded that Project Nursery remove the whales from the area.
