Halse was a young male Human Starfleet officer in the 23rd century who served aboard the Constitution-class USS Endeavour.
In 2265, Ensign Halse was on the bridge working at the environmental-control station when the Endeavour was attacked by the Shedai planetary defense weapons of planet Erilon. He was ordered to man the communications console after Lieutenant Hector Estrada was injured. He tried hailing Erilon Base and Captain Zhao Sheng, who was on the planet with a landing party, but got no response. (VAN novel: Summon the Thunder)
