Halsey (18th century)

Halsey was an English military officer during the Jacobite rebellion in 1746. Having participated in the rape of the future Megan MacIntyre and the hanging of her father and brother, he subsequently was one of a group of officers who cornered Seamus MacIntyre and the time-lost Montgomery Scott in Megan's cabin. Halsey was shot by Seamus with a makeshift bow and flaming arrow, which set fire to his clothes, and died during the next few minutes as Duncan arrived with a group of Scottish soldiers.
