Haltak was a 23rd century frogman and patrolman.

Biography[]

In the 2260s, he joined an invasion force that left the frogmen's planet in the Salgorax-Neptor system and occupied the planet Muton in the adjacent star system.

In 2265, Haltak was one of four crewmen aboard a hover-saucer patrolling the Muton jungles. When large dinosaur-like rock creatures spotted James T. Kirk and Spock, a shrill whistle from the hover-saucer called off the creatures. The vessel descended and Haltak emerged to speak with the Starfleet officers. He did not believe their story that a transporter malfunction redirected their beam to the planet, and he reached for a weapon. Before he could fire, however, he was struck by an arrow fired from rebel Muton natives and died. Two other members of his crew were killed with arrows before they could alert others, but the fourth escaped. (TOS comic: "Slaves of the Frogmen")
