Hans Mueller was a blond-haired Human man who lived in the 23rd century. In the 2260s, he was a technician in Starfleet, serving aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise in the 2260s under the command of Captain James T. Kirk. (TOS novel: Vulcan!)

Biography

Mueller was of Germanic descent and had a round face.

In 2269, he was Nyota Uhura's chief specialist technician working in the ship's communications center. She asked Ensign Mueller and his team to unscramble an incoming transmission, but despite their expertise, they were unable to crack it. Later, Uhura installed a communications terminal on Raga's Planet for Singa, and Mueller's face appeared on its holographic viewscreen as the equipment was being checked out. (TOS - The New Voyages 2 short story: "The Sleeping God")

Later that year, Mueller served a rotation in engineering. While serving on the Enterprise, he developed a strong dislike for Vulcans and joined Theodore Lowrey's anti-Vulcan group. He'd become frustrated having to live up to Commander Spock's exacting standards, and was scheduled to be reassigned when the ship next visited a starbase. (TOS novel: Vulcan!)

His first name was not given in the short story. In the absence of conflicting information, both references are believed to be about the same character for purposes of this wiki.
