The Haradin are a warp-capable civilization that originated from within the Delphic Expanse.

History[]

At some point prior to 2268, the Haradin made a deal with the United Federation of Planets for a used Orion database, which told the name of the Farrezzi homeworld, Farrezz, and showed some sample phrases of the Farrezzi language. The Orions had traded with the Farrezzi for some rare metals. They did not know the name of the planet, but did know that it was somewhere within the Høyland 5900 sector, and also knew its name. (TOS novel: A Choice of Catastrophes)

In early 2375, a Haradin trading vessel discovered a Breen frigate adrift and abandoned on the fringes of the Helaspont Nebula. All of the escape pods had been jettisoned, but the ship had only suffered minor damage. Because of the advanced level of Breen biotechnology, the traders were able to sell it to the Kropaslin government for what was described as "a hefty sum". (SCE eBook: The Future Begins)

Alternate timelines[]

In an alternate timeline, in which the Enterprise (NX-01) traveled back in time from the year 2153 to the 21st century via a faulty subspace corridor, Haradin traders provided Enterprise with plasma injector upgrades that allowed the ship to travel at warp 6.9 for brief bursts. The Enterprise could not use this technology itself, however, because its aged injectors could not take the stress at that level of speed. (ENT episode: "")
