The Harari Desert was a desert region on the planet Vulcan.
History and specifics[]
It was populated by colorful volcanic mountains permeated with overnight frost. Over eons, wind sculpted rocky towers and spire lattices atop the mountains. Sehlats and le-matya both lived in the foothills. In the spring, until drought killed them, the desert was replete with flowering vegetation which was eaten by various birds and sha'amil.
The Harari Desert was Nurse Christine Chapel's favorite location on Vulcan. In her personal log entries from the 2260s decade, she described it as breathtakingly beautiful in the spring. (TOS reference: Official Cooking Manual)
