Harry Potter was a series of seven books (Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) written on the planet Earth in the 20th and 21st centuries by the author J.K. Rowling. The novels were later converted to films. The eight-film series became the highest-grossing film series of the early 21st century.

In 2020, Ms. Hultquist's third grade class at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School included a complete set of Harry Potter books in the time capsule they sent aboard the USS Lewis & Clark. These books never reached Saturn because Zoe Querez removed the time capsule so she could have space for her food on the ship so she could stowaway. (TOS novel: The Rings of Time)
