The haunted house station was an otherwise unnamed 23rd century Klingon space station outpost that was reconfigured in the 2270s decade to resemble a Victorian era haunted house.

History and specifics[]

Positioned one million kilometers from Thallus in the Thallus system in the year 2273, its creepy interior featured Victorian architecture, cobwebs, a musty odor, and a thunderstorm visible through the windows. The station was remodeled as part of a weapons test of a Klingon thought enhancer. It was operated by a drugged horror film archivist capable of imagining numerous monsters with which to populate the facility.

In 2273, while returning an escaped prisoner to Thallus, the starship USS Enterprise was redirected to the station, apparently by authorities on Thallus. Once there, a K't'inga-class vessel claimed that they were within Klingon space, all a ploy to capture the Enterprise. A landing party visited the station, encountering Frankenstein's monster, a werewolf, witch, bats, and other legendary monsters. (TOS comic: "The Haunting of Thallus!")

Klingons kidnapped Spock during his study of the interior. The rest of the landing party was able to return to the Enterprise, rescuing a captive woman. (TOS comic: "The Haunting of the Enterprise!")
