The Hawker Typhoon was a type of aircraft flown on Earth in the 20th century. It was a fighter used by the British Royal Air Force during World War II.

On 19 August 1942, Typhoons were flown during the Allies' Dieppe Raid on German-held Dieppe, France, along with Supermarine Spitfires and Bristol Blenheim bombers.

In 2372, Julian Bashir and Miles O'Brien roleplayed as pilots during the Dieppe Raid in a holosuite at Quark's. Bashir noted that Typhoons and Spitfires were assigned to eliminate anti-aircraft weapons batteries. (DS9 - Explorer short story: "A Year to the Day I Saw Myself Die")
