Hawking radiation was the name given to a type of radiation that has been associated with quantum singularities.

Federation scientists named the radiation Hawking radiation after the 20th century scientist, Professor Stephen Hawking. (TOS novel: The Entropy Effect, SCE eBook: The Demon)

The full name was Hawking-Zel'Dovich radiation. (DSC comic: "Discovery Annual 2018")

In the Kelvin timeline, in 2263 the Aegis-class USS Endeavour detected Hawking radiation and Novikov particles being emitted from a white hole. (TOS - Boldly Go comic: "Issue 6")
