Hazari

The Hazari were a sentient species, a people of reptiloid humanoids known for being efficient bounty hunters in the Delta Quadrant. (VOY episode: "Think Tank")

Biology[]

A Hazari stood about 1.80 to 2 meters tall. They were covered in hairless, scaly skin in shades of brown. A larger scale made up the top of the scalp. The mouth appeared slightly beak-like. (STO - Delta Quadrant mission: "The Dragon's Deceit")

History and specifications[]

In 2375, Kurros hired several Hazari to attack the USS Voyager. The Voyager crew were able to convince the Hazari to go after Kurros and his associates and the Hazari began to attack Kurros' starship. (VOY episode: "Think Tank")

Later in the year, the Hazari captured Kathryn Janeway. (VOY - Distant Shores short story: "The Secret Heart of Zolaluz")

The Hazari produced Hazari ale, which the Silver Blood Voyager acquired a keg of in 2375. (VOY episode: "Course: Oblivion")

In the 2410s decade, the Hazari's criminal activities frequently led to clashes with the law, represented and enforced by the Benthan Guard military of the Benthan Protectorate.

In the year 2410, a deal arranged by Ambassador Neelix with Y'Dren of the Hazari and One star admiral Tuvok with the Benthans allowed the Hazari to become members of the Delta Alliance. (STO - Delta Quadrant mission: "Alliances")

Ships of the Hazari became available to command to other Khitomer Alliance powers from that year onward through Operation Delta Rising. (STO - Delta Rising missions: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock", "The Hunt is On", "Explore the Flotilla")

The Hazari fleet participated in the assault on Vaadwaur Prime during the war between the Delta Alliance and the Vaadwaur Supremacy. (STO - Delta Quadrant mission: "Takedown")

Technology[]

Hazari starships often operated in groups. In such a case, one ship would stay back and continuously reinforce its partner's deflector shield, keeping it longer in the fight. (STO - Delta Quadrant mission: "Alliances")
