The Hazari escort[1], or Hazari vessel[2], was a 24th century[2] Hazari[2] starship class, a warship[3] in service to the Hazari civilization by the 2370s decade. (VOY episode: "Think Tank")

History and specifications[]

Specifications[]

The ship's hull consisted of a long bullet-shaped primary hull that narrowed to a conical dome at the front, and widened at the back. Nacelle pylons on either side held a warp nacelle each. By the default, the vessel was of a blue-gray or gray color. (VOY episode: "Think Tank")

This hull configuration matched those of the contemporary Nygean starship[4] and the 22nd century Rigelian scout ship[5]. (VOY episode: "The Void", ENT episode: "United")

History[]

Ships of the class were active in the 2370s decade. (VOY episode: "Think Tank")

The Hazari were known as bounty hunters. (STO - Delta Quadrant mission: "Alliances")

Their ships often operated in tandem, allowing one vessel to reinforce the deflector shield of another. (STO - Delta Quadrant mission: "Takedown")

In the year 2375, the Think Tank hired the Hazari to harass the Federation starship USS Voyager. The Think Tank hoped that a deal between themselves and Voyager would lead to the recruitment of Seven of Nine. Captain Kathryn Janeway figured the Think Tank's ruse out and struck a deal with the Hazari. Seven of Nine remained with Voyager, which left the Hazari and their "partners" behind as a dozen Hazari warships attacked the Think Tank vessel. (VOY episode: "Think Tank")

Alliance of four

Garon's starship in the Void.

In this decade, the Nygeans deployed starship design that outwardly matched the Hazari escort. Garon's starship became stranded in the the Void anomaly. In 2377, Garon joined Captain Janeway's Alliance. Working together, the four ships of Janeway's coalition, including Garon's ship, escaped from the anomaly. (VOY episode: "The Void")

In the early 25th century, Hazari illegal activities put their ships into the line of fire of the law-enforcing Benthan Guard. In 2410, Ambassador Neelix negotiated a contract between the Hazari and the Benthans, allowing both to be members of the Delta Alliance. (STO - Delta Quadrant mission: "Alliances")

A number of these ships, rated as tier 6 destroyers, were made available to Khitomer Alliance commanding officers. While in Alliance service, ships of this class were classified as Hazari destroyers. (STO website: Delta Rising: Delta Expedition Lock Box)
