Heather Keith was a Human female who served in Starfleet in the late 23rd century. In the late 2280s, she held the rank of lieutenant and was assigned to the USS Excelsior as a helmsman.
In late 2289, Keith accompanied a group of crewmembers, including Commander Hikaru Sulu, to a bar on the surface of Galdonterre as part of her shore leave excursion. At this time she preferred to drink Blazing Sunbursts.
Shortly after, Keith was on bridge duty during the Excelsior's mission to attend the Federation-Klingon peace talks at Korvat. (ST novel: Excelsior: Forged in Fire)
She continued to serve as helmsman during Sulu's first assignment as Captain of the Excelsior. (TOS - The Captain's Table novel: War Dragons)
