For other uses, see Heather.

Heather McConel was a human Starfleet officer who served as the assistant chief engineer aboard the USS Enterprise in the 2260s.

Heather's Scottish heritage meant that she was good friends with Lieutenant Commander Montgomery Scott and the two officers worked well together. Like Scotty, Heather had a fondness for Scotch and in 2268, built an illegal distillery in engineering to make the alcoholic drink. When McConel became affected by the emanations by the Alnathian jewel, she became obsessed with improving the Enterprise's engines along with Scotty. (TOS novel: The Klingon Gambit)
