Helaspont Station was a Federation space station in Starfleet service, located near the Tzenkethi border and the Helaspont Nebula in the Helaspont sector.

Station layout[]

Helaspont Station consisted of a cylindrical primary hull from which jutted two crossover bridges that terminated in smaller cylindrical secondary hulls. These "arms" were known as the Aegean Sea and the Sea of Marmara, respectively. Both arms had several docking bays, and housed civilian establishments and services. The Sea of Marmara arm hosted the restaurant Sur Le Mer Coucher.

The station also boasted offices atop the main cylinder, residential and crew quarters, at least one shuttlebay, and an arboretum. (ST - The Lost Era novel: One Constant Star)

History[]

In the year 2311, Commander Amina Sasine took command of this station, alongside her husband, John Harriman, whom, in his rank of Admiral-at-large, selected Helaspont Station as his new command base for the sector. (ST - The Lost Era novels: Serpents Among the Ruins, One Constant Star)

By 2319, Sasine was still the station's commanding officer, but she now held the rank of captain. Her first officer was Lieutenant Commander Farish. (ST - The Lost Era novel: One Constant Star)

In 2319 the station hosted a trade summit which the Gorn attended. (ST - The Lost Era novel: One Constant Star)

Jefferson Blackmer was assigned to Helaspont Station for around five years in the 2370s decade. (ST - Typhon Pact novel: Plagues of Night, ST - The Fall novel: Revelation and Dust)

In September 2385, the USS Argus provided the station with twice daily reports of its patrol of the Federation-Tzenkethi Coalition border on the opposite side of the sector. At this time, the station was under the command of Captain French. (DS9 novel: Sacraments of Fire)
