Hell Is Only a Word is the third omnibus of IDW Publishing's ongoing Defiant series. Published in December 2024, it reprinted the story arc that first appeared in issues 12 through 16.

The clandestine assignment has left them disillusioned with Starfleet and with one another, but a surprise awaits the Defiant crew, threatening to tear them apart even further – literally.
