HemQuch or "Imperial" was a name for Klingons in the 22nd and 23rd centuries who had retained cranial ridges after an outbreak of viral mutation. (TLE novel: Excelsior: Forged in Fire, TOS - Worlds Apart novel: The Final Reflection, DS9 episode: "Trials and Tribble-ations"; ENT)

History and specifics[]

The term HemQuch translates as "the proud forehead". They were the opposite of the more Human-looking QuchHa' (or "fusion") caste who had been genetically changed and lacked typical Klingon features. (TLE novel: Excelsior: Forged in Fire; FASA RPG)
