Herald of M'Tara was a title, a position held by a Herald acting as chief servant to a member of the Iconian Whole. Heralds of M'Tara served the Iconian M'Tara. (STO - Iconian War mission: "Midnight")
History and specifics[]
During the height of the Iconian Empire, approximately 200,000 years before 2410, Heralds were a servitor race of the Iconians. M'Tara'ren served as Herald of M'Tara and greeted alien visitors to the Iconian city. M'Tara'ren would determine whether the visitors were sufficiently advanced to be granted entrance. Their superior was referred to as "mistress" and addressed as "Honored One". (STO - Iconian War mission: "Midnight")
Following the fall of Iconia, Herald harbingers, were combat-oriented leaders of Herald forces in the 25th century. This included the Harbinger of M'Tara. (STO - Iconian War mission: "Blood of Ancients")
