Herzog was a 23rd century Starfleet crewperson, assigned to the USS Constitution in the late 2250s.
Herzog was trained to work in a variety of roles aboard a starship. In 2257, Herzog assumed the science station on the Constitution's bridge following the death of Lieutenant Darick Lynch. Herzog later relieved Lieutenant (j.g.) Gary Mitchell at the navigation station following the conclusion of battle with the N'shaii in orbit of Sordinia IV.
