Hilde Cochrane was a Human woman in the 21st century. She was the wife of Jesse Cochrane and the mother of Zefram Cochrane.
Biography[]
Mrs. Cochrane and her husband were both academics at the University of Chicago, and they encouraged their son in his interest in science. She raised her son as an intellectual. In the year 2044, at the University of Chicago, Zefram's parents were killed in a government purge of academia that was part of the build-up to World War III. Her son Zefram would later establish the Jesse and Hilde Cochrane Fellowship in her honor. (ST reference: Federation: The First 150 Years)
