Hoek IV was a planet located in the space of the galaxy's Gamma Quadrant, the fourth planet in orbit of the Hoek star system. (DS9 episode: "Q-Less")

Hoek IV was located in the Lantar Nebula, nearby to the Vandros and Sampalo systems, all outside the space claimed by the Dominion in the 2360s decade.
In the year 2369, Q offered to take the Human archaeologist Vash to the Lantar Nebula to see the Sampalo relics on Hoek IV after he appeared on Deep Space 9 after her. Vash refused Q's offer. (DS9 episode: "Q-Less")
