Hong Kong was one of the locations within the Julian Bashir, Secret Agent holosuite program. Julian Bashir had an apartment in Kowloon. (DS9 episode: "Our Man Bashir")

Alternate timelines[edit | edit source]

Augments in Hong Kong in 1996.

In the Kelvin timeline, Hong Kong was conquered by the Augments during the Eugenics Wars in 1992. Initially, it was ruled by Verity Cheng under the East Asian Union. After Cheng was toppled, Hong Kong was liberated by the Pan-Asian Resistance.

Bernard Maltuvis of Maltuvisland seized the city and later betrayed his ally Khan Noonien Singh of the Khanate, Khan launched a counter-offensive into South Asia and Australia. Khan's aircraft passed between Hong Kong's skycrapers. In 1996, Humans succeeded in overthrowing their Augment rulers, ending the Eugenics Wars. (TOS - Khan comic: "Issue 3")
