See Hopkins for other articles with titles that contain, either by relationship or by coincidence, this character's surname.

Hopkins was a 23rd century Human man. He served in the sciences division aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise in the 2260s under the command of Captain James T. Kirk.

History[]

In 2267, Hopkins accompanied Kirk, Spock, Hikaru Sulu and a crewman in the Galileo to the surface of Dak-Alpha to pick up a captured rebel leader. When nobody was there to greet them at the landing site, he climbed a hill and discovered gigantic statues of himself and the other landing party members that even held the same type of the phaser rifles they were carrying. They were beckoned into the top of the Kirk statue, only to discover it was a trap.

Hopkins and the others were brought inside a rebel base and into a liquidation chamber that would turn them into zombie slaves, but Governor LeBrun caused an overload and saved their lives. Hopkins and the others played along, pretending to do as the rebel leader ordered as they returned to the Enterprise. (TOS comic: "Revolt on Dak-Alpha")
