Horst III was the third planet of the Horst system. It was a Class K planet with tenuous atmosphere composed mostly of nitrogen, oxygen and carbon dioxide. Less than 4% of surface was covered by water.
In 2370, archaeologist Shanok was investigating the Chodak ruins. Having discovered samples and artifacts, he sent some isolinear rods to Mertens Orbital Research Station. The USS Enterprise-D was en route to this planet to contact Shanok. (TNG video game: A Final Unity)
