See Hoskins for other articles with titles that contain, either by relationship or by coincidence, this character's surname.

Hoskins was a 23rd century Human man. He served in Starfleet aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise in the 2260s under the command of Captain James T. Kirk.

History[]

In 2266, Hoskins joined Kirk and Hikaru Sulu aboard a class F shuttlecraft to locate a Klingon strike raider on the planet Seggor, which seemed to have disappeared on the surface. As they searched, Hoskins was kidnapped by Klingon soldiers who subjected him to the granulator in an underground laboratory, then strapped him upright and returned him to the surface. When Kirk touched him, Hoskins disintegrated into powder.

Klingons then captured the landing party. Sondar collected the powdered remains of Hoskins and deposited them on a table in the lab. Kirk and Sulu witnessed the granulator restore Hoskins to life. Weakly, he was helped off the table by Kirk and brought back to the Enterprise. (TOS comic: "The Klingon Ultimatum")
