In the Kelvin timeline, the hostile interceptor was an Arkonian[1] starship type, an interceptor sold[2] to, and used[3] by, numerous factions active in local space in general, and the disputed Neutral Zone region in particular. (ST video game: Fleet Command)

History and specifications[]

The hostile interceptor was an upgraded, aggressive looking interceptor class based on the Pralim-class[4] destroyer manufactured and sold by the Arkonians since the 22nd century.[5] (ENT - Rise of the Federation novel: Tower of Babel, ST video game: Fleet Command)

In combat.

While the Independent faction that acted as mercenaries for the Federation, Klingon Empire and Romulan Star Empire used other designs based on the Pralim, they did not deploy hostile interceptors.

Hostile interceptors were frequently used by criminal organisations.

Ships of this class were equipped with deflector shields and directed energy weapons that fired beams. (ST video game: Fleet Command)

Factions and encounters[]
