"Hosts" was the first of two stories in the fourth issue of John Byrne's TOS miniseries Leonard McCoy, Frontier Doctor. This story picked up where "Medics" left off, with Leonard McCoy, Gary Seven and Roberta Lincoln aboard the USS Yorktown under the command of Number One.
