Ensign Hoya was a Benzite female who served in Starfleet in the 2370s.
Biography[]
The daughter of Marya and Oorv, Hoya was born in the Utva Geostructure, Benzar in 2351. She went on to enter Starfleet Academy and finally graduated in 2369 with honors in astrometrics and navigation. Due to her honors in navigation, she was assigned as flight controller aboard the USS Portland. (ST video game: Starship Creator; CCG set: Second Edition)
The following year, Hoya was awarded a citation for exceptional flight control skills. She served aboard the USS LaSalle before transferring to Deep Space 9 in 2371, where she served primarily as a runabout pilot. (ST video game: Starship Creator)
During her time serving on DS9, Hoya was married in a ceremony performed by Captain Benjamin Sisko. Unfortunately, Hoya died in 2373 when the runabout she was piloting was destroyed by the Jem'Hadar, during a mission to Torga IV in the Gamma Quadrant. (DS9 episode: "The Ship")
