Hrolfson was a Human man in Starfleet in the 23rd century. He served as a security officer aboard the USS Enterprise, under the command of Captain James T. Kirk.
When the Enterprise dispatched landing parties to besieged Holox in 2269, Hrolfson was part of a security detail under the command of Lieutenant Berengaria. Hrolfson, along with Scotty, Ching and Franklin, used a hovercraft to scout around a Sacker heat-dome on the planet. Scotty and Hrolfson were captured by the Sackers, who probed Hrolfson's mind before burning him to death. (TOS novel: The Three-Minute Universe)
