A hull is the body of a aquatic vessel, spacecraft or starship.

History and specifications

The hull of a Federation starship is usually separated into a primary hull for command functions and a secondary hull where the ship's engines are based. Hulls can be constructed from smaller pieces called hull plating. (ST video game: Armada II, VOY episode: "Good Shepherd")
