Husnock warship

A Husnock warship in 2366.

The Husnock warship is a type of starship, a warship-type vessel used by the Husnock civilization. (TNG episode: "The Survivors")

History and specifications[]

A Husnock warship carried out a deadly attack on Delta Rana IV in the year 2366, killing all life in a Federation colony. Kevin Uxbridge, a Douwd who had taken Human form to marry a Human woman. Enraged, Uxbridge destroyed their entire civilization with his formidable mental powers. He then used the image of the Husnock warship to chase down the Federation starship USS Enterprise-D. The illusory Delta Rana system warship, created by Uxbridge, used jacketed beams of antiprotons and positrons. Its firepower could be modulated from the equivalent to forty megawatts to 400 gigawatts. (TNG episode: "The Survivors")

In September-October 2386, a Federation fleet under the command of Rear Admiral, lower half William T. Riker, sector commander of the Alpha Quadrant frontier zone, competed with Breen Confederacy troops in trying to reach the Husnock's homeworld and recover their technology and ships. (TTN novel: Fortune of War)

In 2410, during the time of the Tzenkethi Crusade, the Lobi Crystal Consortium partnered with the Khitomer Alliance to distribute Husnock warships, Ma-Karn-class heavy raiders, and other privateer technology to KA starship commanders. (STO website: Escalation: The Privateer Lockbox!)

Technical[]

Husnock warship ortho

Plan views.

The Husnock warship was in use in the 24th century, and 1.300 meters long. (The Official Starships Collection Issue 178: "Husnock Warship")

In the 25th century, the Husnock warships recovered and refitted by Alliance engineers were equipped with a universal particle focuser array. This weapon emitted from the tips of three protrusion in the ship's hull, and combined into one powerful beam ahead of the vessel's bow. (STO website: Escalation: Privateer Lock Box Stats!)

Regular equipment for Alliance-controlled Husnock warships was rated Mk. X. This included a shield array, deflector array, impulse engines, and a matter anti-matter warp core. Default weaponry was Krieger wave based, like on the Ma-Karn- or Theta-class raider. By default, the forward facing weapons consisted of a Krieger wave dual disruptor beam bank, a pair of Krieger wave disruptor dual cannons, Krieger wave disruptor dual heavy cannons, and a photon torpedo launcher.

Two of the three aft weapons were Krieger wave disruptor turrets. Another photon torpedo launcher was the third aft weapon. (STO - Escalation mission: "Spin the Wheel", STO website: Escalation: Privateer Lock Box Stats!)

Livery[]

In the 25th century, the hull design of the Husnock warship allowed its commanding officer to choose from only one livery material. This could be modified at shipyards. This hull material was known simply as Type 1. (STO - Escalation mission: "Spin the Wheel")

In addition, the installation of deflector shields from specific factions modified the hull appearance, including shields from the Reman Resistance, the Breen Confederacy and the Dominion. (STO missions: "Coliseum", "Cold Storage", "Boldly They Rode")
