Hydra Daco was a star system located in or near the Free Trader Lanes sector of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrant.
History and specifics[]
It was located a few parsecs away from the Thoris Amarnis system.
In 2274, the Hydra Daco system was included in the race route of a starship regatta designed by Kyoshi Nogura. The Cutter-class USS Rim Explorer was assigned to collect a batfish in the system as part of the race. The ship was ambushed in the system and destroyed by a Free Trader starship using a cloaking device. Responding to their distress signal, the USS Enterprise entered the system and recovered survivors of the attack before heading on to the Thoris Amarnis system. (TOS comic: "The Nogura Regatta")
