Hypatia was a star system, located somewhere in the space of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants. This system was named for Hypatia, a Human woman of history.
History and specifics
The Hypatia system's orbit was the location of a planetary system, including planet Vergessen, the location of the Seven Domes. (PIC episode: "Stardust City Rag")
- Since Bjayzl was using the Domes for illegal activity against a Starfleet officer and Seven of Nine was able to intercede on behalf of the Fenris Rangers, it would seem this location is outside of late-24th century Federation space, or at the very least, situated in a way that makes Federation enforcement unlikely.
