The IKS Chargh was a Klingon starship, a D7-class K't'inga-subclass battlecruiser in Klingon Defense Force service in the 2370s decade. Its commanding officer was Captain Gretok, son of Krad. (TNG - Gateways novel: Doors into Chaos)
History[]
The ship shared its name with the Chargh-class battleships active during the Federation-Klingon War of 2256-2257. (DSC episode: "Battle at the Binary Stars")
In 2376, Ambassador Worf came aboard while the Chargh was in orbit of Qo'noS, and advised Captain Gretok of his new orders. The Chargh would join the Federation's efforts to contact the real Iconians, and follow Captain Jean-Luc Picard's lead and command.
The Chargh and the IKS Qob followed the Enterprise on its diplomatic endeavors across the Alpha and Beta Quadrants to seek international government agreement when contacting the Iconians. At Cardassia Prime, Ambassador Elim Garak noted the fact the Klingons provided Picard with a pair of K't'inga-class battlecruisers instead of smaller birds-of-prey.
By 2410, the Chargh had been supplemented or succeeded by a Chargh-class temporal warship of the same name. (STO website: Rise of Discovery: The Temporal Warship Bundle!)
