The IKS K'mpec (IKS-7502, also known as the IKS Kempec) was a 24th century Klingon starship, a Negh'Var-class flagship in service of the Klingon Empire's Imperial Fleet in the 2370s decade.
Service history and disposition[]
The K'mpec was commissioned in the year 2374 and was assigned to a Federation Alliance fleet defending Deep Space 5. (Decipher RPG module: Starships)
K'mpec was in service in fleet actions in the 24th century. (ST video game: Infinite)
- The Star Trek Infinite game software has each campaign having a certain chance of spawning a Negh'Var vessel named "K'mpec" from a list of preselected names. Through this application of video game logic, it is also possible that this name would be assigned to a number of other types of vessels.
This ship remained in active service in the year 2377. As a flagship, this vessel was equipped with an ion cannon. (ST video games: Armada, Armada II)

Background[]
This vessel's "Kempec" name was a spelling in the Armada games' software, one of the ship names randomly selected for Negh'Var-class vessels in that series.
The K'mpec had apparently been taken out of service by the latter part of the 2370s, when there was an IKS K'mpec of the Qang-class active.
