Changes: IKS Klothos (D7 class)

The IKS Klothos was a D7 class Klingon battle cruiser, commanded by Kor, son of Rynar, in the 23rd century.

The crew of the Klothos was assigned to bring the planet Organia into the Klingon Empire in 2267. This mission was thwarted when the Organians were revealed to be powerful non-corporeal beings, who imposed the Organian Peace Treaty on the Empire and the United Federation of Planets. (TOS episode: "Errand of Mercy")

Later that year, the Klothos was at the planet Mestiko, where again Kor found himself facing Starfleet Captain James T. Kirk. Again, Kor's efforts to influence local leaders to support the Empire's expansionary efforts failed. (TOS eBook: Mere Anarchy: The Centre Cannot Hold).

In 2268, the Klothos joined the USS Enterprise and the USS Farragut in repelling an attack on the planet Signi Beta by Narr vessels. After discovering that the Narr had claimed the planet centuries earlier, Kirk helped mediate an agreement between the Klingons and the Narr. In the Klingon Empire, this day is celebrated as the Day of Honor. (TOS novel: Star Trek: Day of Honor: Treaty's Law).

In 2269, the Klothos once again engaged the USS Enterprise in the Delta Triangle region. Both ships ended up trapped within the Triangle, but were able to escape after resolving to work together. (TAS episode: "The Time Trap"). Later that year, the ship was assigned to patrol the Klingon Neutral Zone. The ship was spotted inside and close to the Neutral Zone several times that year. (Game : Star Trek: Judgement rites)

Shortly after the alliance between the Klingon Empire and the Romulan Star Empire was formed in the late 2260s, the Klothos was fitted with a cloaking device. Kor spent three days studying the device in the engine room before leading an attack against the Federation outpost at Caleb IV. (DS9 episode: "Once More Unto the Breach")

In 2273, Kor and the Klothos led a major Klingon victory over the Romulans at the Battle of Klach D'Kel Brakt. (DS9 episode: "Blood Oath")

Kor's ship was first named in the TAS episode "The Time Trap," and was made canon in DS9's "Once More Unto the Breach". See the Memory Alpha article linked below for notes on the class designation of the Klothos.
