History[]
The Kurak was one of three Tier 6 battlecruiser prototypes developed by the Alpha Quadrant Alliance to combat the invading Iconian Empire. Each prototype was based on an existing, proven design. The Arbiter (battlecruiser)-, Morrigu- and Kurak-class prototypes were the first starships equipped with the ablative hazard shielding console. The Kurak was derived from the Tier 5 Mogh-class battlecruiser and launched alongside the Tier 6 "Fleet" upgrade of the IKS Mogh. (STO - The Iconian War mission: "The Hunt is On")
