The IKS Qin was a 25th century Klingon Empire raptor escort starship, the Qin-class heavy raptor prototype in Klingon Defense Force service in the early 2400s decade. (STO - Empire mission: "The Hunt is On")
Service history and disposition[]
In the early 25th century, the 22nd century raptor escort experienced a renaissance in the Klingon Defense Force. By 2409, the IKS Qin was among the new generation of raptors, and became the first heavy raptor. The new raptors saw action in the Federation-Klingon War of 2405-2410. (STO - Empire mission: "The Hunt is On")
The IKS Qin could be deployed by the admiralty for assignments with other ships. (STO mission: "New Dawn" game mechanic: "Admiralty System")
In Klingon shipyard interfaces, the Qin visually represented its class from 2410 onwards. (STO - Empire mission: "The Hunt is On")
