The IKS Vengeance was a Klingon K't'inga-class battle cruiser starship in service to the Imperial Klingon Defense Force in the late 23rd century. It was under the command of General Choroth.
In 2294, while the Vengeance was in orbit of Antares there were rumors that the Klingons were responsible for the outbreak of Terrellian virus on the planet. While Choroth never confirmed or denied it for his crew, he was however using it as a ploy to attack the USS Enterprise which was en route to render aid.
With its initial salvo, the Vengeance inflicted significant damage to the Enterprise. Without a means to return fire, Captain John Harriman issued his surrender to the Klingon vessel. Allowing the Starfleet captain a single minute to inform his crew, the Enterprise armed all of their photon torpedos with a thirty-second delay.
When the time elapsed, the Enterprise transported the torpedos over to the Vengeance, destroying the vessel. However, simultaneously the Starfleet ship saved the entire crew and took them prisoner. (Captain's Log comic: "Harriman")
