The IKS Vor'ral was a 25th century Klingon starship, the tier 6 Vor'ral-class support battlecruiser prototype, in Imperial Defense Force service in the 2410s decade. (STO - House Reborn mission: "The Hunt is On", STO website: The Legendary Temporal Support Cruiser)

History and specifications[]

In response to the Iconian War of 2410, the Allied Cooperative Starship Development Board jointly designed tier 6 support cruisers - the Narendra-class cruiser USS Narendra for Federation Starfleet and the Vor'ral-class battlecruiser for the Klingon Defense Force, based on the Ambassador- and Vor'cha-classes of the 24th century, respectively. Bot the Vor'ral and the Narendra were rated as temporal starships, whose command center made room for a temporal operative bridge officer. (STO website: Victory Is Life: New Support Cruisers Join the Alliance Fleet)

The Vor'ral was an evolution of the 2360s-era IKS Vor'cha design, and the older IKS Vor'Kang and IKS Kamarag battlecruisers that marked the transition of the 23rd century K't'inga-class starships.

From 2410 onward, the Vor'ral represented its class in the Klingon shipyard operations interface. (STO - Klingon Sector mission: "The Hunt is On")

Khitomer Alliance flag officer in, or aligned with, the KDF, deployed Vor'ral for missions around the galaxy's four quadrants as part of the four-quadrant strategy. (STO - Klingon Sector mission: "The Hunt is On", admiralty system)

Following the Battle of Excalbia on stardate 84999.22[1] in January 2411, which saw the prominent involvement of hero ships from the Federation's past and present, several Federation later other Khitomer Alliance ships underwent a refit to legendary starship[2] qualifications. (STO - J'Ula's Discovery missions: "Measure of Morality (Part 2)", "The Hunt is On")

Legendary intel support battlecruisers.

After the return of Klingon Chancellor L'Rell[3], the IKS Qo'noS One was launched as a subclass variant of the Vor'cha. It was the first legendary starship of that family, and received command ship notation. The Vor'ral, Vor'cha, Tor'Kaht, Vor'Kang, Kamarag, the IKS K'mtaj[4] and the AKS Vor'cha were among the support battlecruiser ships that the KDF refitted match the Qo'noS One legendary starship standards.
