The IKS Vorka was a Klingon starship, a B'rel-class scout/bird of prey in Imperial Defense Force service in the 23rd century. (TOS - Unlimited comic: "Trekkers", ST video game: Trexels mission: Skirmish)
History[]
By 2270, the Vorka was under the command of Captain Gakk. That year, the ship was one of two Birds-of-Prey to attack Federation Starfleet Lieutenants Pavel Chekov and Hikaru Sulu. Both Gakk and Captain Puhg, the commander of the other ship, the IKS N'Kghar, coveted the signet of the Noble House of General Krag, which the general had lost to Chekov in a game of baqlaq on Starbase 56. Whoever owned the signet, owned all that comprised the House of Krag, including its lands, ships, and members. (TOS - Unlimited comic: "Trekkers")
The Vorka was the first to strike, attacking the unnamed Type-4 shuttlecraft piloted by the two lieutenants soon after it had departed the starbase. However, Chekov and Sulu were able to escape into a nearby asteroid belt and trick the crew of the Vorka into thinking they had left it again by firing one of the shuttle's on-board probes and escaping in the opposite direction. (TOS - Unlimited comic: "Trekkers")
The Vorka soon managed to catch up with the shuttle again, and, in a simultaneous attack on the shuttle along with the N'Kghar, managed to cripple it. However, the Vorka then was the first to be crippled by the general's flagship, the K't'inga-class battlecruiser IKS Ghaklor, shortly followed by the N'Kghar. (TOS - Unlimited comic: "Trekkers")
As part of Federation Starfleet operations in the Trexelian Expanse, the IKS Vorka participated in the war games conducted by Starfleet and allied vessels from the 23rd and 24th centuries. (ST video game: Trexels mission: Skirmish)
The Vorka also saw action in conflicts with the Klingon Empire and Cardassian Union. (ST video game: Trexels mission: Events)
