The IRW Makar was a Romulan D'deridex-class battle cruiser in service to the Romulan Star Empire's Romulan Star Navy in the late 24th century.
History and specifications[]
In 2371, the Tal Shiar assumed responsibility of the Makar for a planned offensive against the Dominion. The Makar's cloaking device was modified to prevent detection by Dominion sensors at speeds under warp six.

Following the completion of the modifications, the Makar became part of the joint Tal Shiar-Obsidian Order task force that entered the Gamma Quadrant and launched an attack on the Founders' homeworld. In the subsequent battle, the Makar lost main power, and was eventually destroyed by the Jem'Hadar. (DS9 episode: "The Die is Cast")
