The IRW Verithrax was a Romulan warbird in service in the 2370s.
Following the Dominion War, the Verithrax was assigned to the Almatha sector, which was an Allied protectorate of the Romulan Star Empire. In December 2376, the Verithrax left Panora for Harkoum, where it was to search incoming and outgoing ships for contraband. The Verithrax later left Harkoum in January 2377, just before the IKS noH'pach and the USS Defiant arrived there. (DS9 novel: Warpath)
In 2381, while representing the Imperial Romulan State, this vessel sacrificed itself to save the planet of Ardana from Borg attack. (ST - Destiny novel: Lost Souls)
