In the mirror universe, the ISS Guardian (NC-47551-B) was a Terran Empire starship, a Guardian-class cruiser in Imperial Starfleet service in the early 25th century. Like its Federation counterpart USS Guardian, the ISS Guardian was the prototype of its class. (STO - New Dawn mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

The ship bore the red markings and NC registry of the resurgent Terran Empire. The A addendum of the registry number indicated it was the third ship to bear the name. Like its primary universe counterpart, the Guardian class was launched following the end of the Iconian War in 2410. (STO - New Dawn mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")
